Cab driver's kindness reaches to Pennsylvania!

Mr. Nyambane and Midwest Taxi.

In this day and age when the world seems populated by selfish, insensitive people, when you experience an act of kindness you want to tell folks about it.

I received a call at home in Pennsylvania this morning from a cab driver for Midwest Taxi in Indianapolis. He called to report that my daughter had left her cell phone in his cab over the weekend and he wanted to know how he could return it to her.

To say the least, I was moved by this "stranger's" honesty and concern.

His name, David Nyambane. I've heard that Indianapolis is a wonderful place to live (I have another daughter there) and this random act of kindness in your city confirms that.

A public thank you to Mr. Nyambane and Midwest Taxi.

Cabbie Chowdhury Osman a Queens driver for yellow cab, is by all rights a hero for he recovered some bags left in his trunk from a 30 cent trip tip fee made the night before! Within the bags Mr. Osman returned to it's owner the next day was two trays that had 31 diamonds on them! This just after getting done with a 12 hour shift, he then sets out to find the owner! Its said Mr. Osman in a soft-spoken cabbie, who enjoys life. He was not satisfied till his customer got back the bags. He stated in a news report "I'm not going to take someone else's money or property to make me rich.

I don't want it that way." Very strong words coming from a man that works in a business like millions of other cabbies that even according to the U.S. Department of Labor, is someone who is 60 times more likely to be killed, than at any other job. We here at SAVEACABBIE as does all cabbies around the world salute, Mr. Osman on his noble effort. His actions here lets the world know of all the unsung heroes and heroines in the taxi industry are out there every day serving their cities.

Mr. Osman was giving $100 as compensation. This goes to prove cabbies are hardworking and honest and selfless people, simply trying to feed their families. Most stories are about ATTACKS and worse killings of cabbies in the press...We at SAVEACABBIE wanted to share this Hero's story with all, that not even a 30 cent tip, didn't stop him from doing the right thing!

Mr. Osman is just one of millions of cabbies that do it every day, but never get headlines!
